EBARR Eastbay animal rescue and refuge

Special need animals are those animals that require special attention or care. It could be an animal with a health or behavior problem, a genetic defect, a short time to live and the need to live out his/her remaining days in a safe and loving environment. An animal that requires extensive medical procedures that require special fund raising efforts before they can be scheduled.

Xena

Our most recent special needs animal turned success story!

XENA is a 2 year old female long hair Chihuahua. She was rescued from the Contra Costa Animal Shelter by our organization. Upon her Veterinarian visit, it was discovered that she had a very serious condition that will require an expensive surgical procedure to repair.

XENA is a very special little dog that has a personality and love for humans and other animals like none we have ever seen before. Once enough funds are raised (approximately $2000.00) we will arrange the surgery, allow her time to recover and then she will be available for adoption.

Thanks to your generous donations Xena was able to get her operation and is doing GREAT!
