Penelope Rose has cerebellar hypoplasia.
She was dropped off to us by her rescuer today. Knowing we have experience in this condition they reached out. How could we say no?
Just look at this cuteness.
PR was born to a feral cat who was TNR'd and was way too young to have kittens herself. Her babies were small and one of the littermates was born with underdeveloped legs.
Penelope's labwork shows a mildly elevated liver enzyme, the plan is to change her diet from kitten to adult and recheck her labs in six months. her body needs time to catch up and fully develop.
We would love some help with the things she will need.
We have set up an Amazon wishlist in some of the items she will need. she requires interactive toys so she can build muscle and strength on her hind legs to be able to climb and be a normal kitten.
She will need a special feeder to help her stay in place while eating and not fall.
It will need to be purchased from a special website by a person that makes them.
Our goal is to get her strong and ready for her forever home but we know, you must have a special kind of heart and willingness for commitment to a kitty with this condition.
Finding the right home can take a very long time.
We are also looking for someone willing to sponsor her until she is adopted.
Sponsorships help us with medical expenses, feeding, and housing.
